I don’t know if this would work for you but in my experience, a cheat meal, emphasis on MEAL, has helped me out a lot. When your body starts to get used to the limited calories you tend to plateau. “Shocking” it with a larger intake all at once makes it work harder and in turn when you go back to low calories it works like it did for the higher calories at least until it gets used to the low calories again.

do you count everything, including small bites of food and small sips of drinks, ect? if you dont already, start measuring food with a food scale. you'd be surprised how far off our estimations of portions can be when we just eyeball it. maybe try a cheat meal as the other person suggested. just keep at it, eventually the scale will budge. weightloss is a very slow process, especially if you're a smaller female.

the only thing I found is adjusting macro's can make a difference and since you are not doing much in the way of carbs it is fat to protein ratio. talk to the doc about that. everyone is different and you may find testing your glucose how different ratio's work on you. when I have too little fat to protein my glucose is very high, higher than normal for me. 4 hour window to 5 hour window is its highest. I don't know how these things are a part of the process, but I do know when I have 60/40 fat to protein I gain weight on less calories

I'm sorry to hear this. I KNOW how hard you have tried for months.

Add some weights to your workout, like 10 or 15 lbs when walking. It will re-engage your metabolism

Have you tried not dieting for 6 months, give ur body a break

Than start again, maybe you have adapted your metabolism too low due to trying so hard/never cheating

How much water do you drink a day? Awkward question but are you using the bathroom regularly? Hydration and Fiber intake have been super important for me since going Keto. Try adding in some fibrous veggies to your meals.

I agree with the cheat meal. My mom often struggles with dieting (thyroid issue) and when she becomes stuck at one weight she has a cheat meal (like pasta and a donut) and then continues dieting the next day. This causes your body to start working harder again as you’ve shocked it with a large intake of carbs/calories all at once that you weren’t eating before. Sometimes this even helps to lose weight even faster when you do it once in a while

Hi Jen - Have you looked to see if there is a counteraction with the foods and meds you are taking? I was advised to avoid certain foods depending on a particular medication. I am sure that you have a long list of items to discuss with your medical team.

Tahoebrun, nope I only takes thyroid and my hormone cream because of my ovaries being removed. I eat one to two meals a day, no carb and you take thyroid on empty stomach

Haha your joking, not dieting for 6 months is what put on tons of weight. I haven't counted calories this month, I don't NEED TO CHEAT, I'm satisfied and I WON'T JACK MY BLOOD SUGAR UP BY CHEATING. All you diabetics out there just give up carbs and see how awesome your blood sugar levels are.

I have thyroid, too. My endocrinologist put me on a T3 drug and a T4 drug and it has made all the difference. liothyronine and synthroid
