I am doing better about writing things down and not eating refined carbs but I haven't exercised as much. Today will hopefully be a good day to exercise. I am really overwhelmed right now with work and school and wedding planning. There is a lot of extra paperwork to do at work right now and I feel burnt out. I hate paperwork. I wish I could I afford a sabbatical (not that they'd allow it, but as long as I'm dreaming... oh and a winning lottery ticket would help!) I'm more frustrated and grumpier than usual. I love school and wedding planning; I just have such a hard time fitting everything into one day and still enjoying myself. Chuck is working extra and helping with the planning too so there is not a lot of time for him to pick up the slack on the chores or for us to spend time together. Oh, there has to be some peace of mind in here somewhere. I will find it sometime today!

Meanwhile, I wanted to tell y'all that I was thinking about my food choices and realized that I need to focus more on creating tasty unique healthy meals. I have gotten into a routine where I eat the cheapest healthy food around and I eat it over and over again and I am bored. We are not THAT hard up for money, there is always a way to add some pleasure to one's diet, you know? I read a very interesting article about ayurvedic taste balancing that got me thinking. I did not know that ayurveda could help with weight loss! I tried to find the article online to share but all I could find were these recipes associated with it:

Have a great day!

Sometimes just adding new or different spices to foods will take away some of the boredom. I've had people tell me that Smoked Paprika perks things up, but I haven't found it in the store yet. Hey, as long as your dreaming, could I win the lottery the day after you do? :)

Cindy, I am a very frugal mom. But, because my family is use to expensive meals/taste I have learned to cook meals on a budget and with lots of flavor while I know I saved money. All my shopping and meal planning takes a little time because I look to always spend the least amount of money possible for the month: but in the long run it helps. Some months I even plan a whole month in advance using "dinner in the freezer" type systems. If you go to your local library you can find a books on Monthy meals and cooking on a budget. These meals are wonderful, and really help. Or the biggest loser cookbooks also have wonderful meals. I have changed my meal planning a lot but my husband still thinks that I buy the same stuff and cook nearly the same. I always change it up and it is never boring (even using leftovers). And, with planning your meals you will never waste money by having veggies or other items go bad. Sorry I am rambling. Basically my point is: I thought that we would be stuck with crappy food forever if I stopped spending a lot of money. You will learn eventually to cook well without breaking the bank. Research at your library. After you take the time to save money you will get faster at doing so, and it also leads to making healthier meals.
