Keep showing up for yourself even if you dont want to. Noone will put in the work for you. I've grown to love dips now but completely avoided them the first year of lifting because I wasnt able to do even 1 of them. Lunch time then off to the trails.

wifey9707 haha my whole body always tenses up when I'm digging deep trying to squeeze out that last rep . I think they are all grown up to cows now though.

Golfgirl60 most gyms have an assisted machine where you can do it with almost no weight and add slowly that was my problem I didn't have access to one of those machines

Shark3000 yeah it's all those lunch time dip amd pull up sessions In the park! From not being able to do any to being able to do 21 I'm pretty happy with that progress. Now to work on getting the muscle up !!
