I had a 5k race scheduled downtown today but there was also a parade and with many blocked roads I couldn’t get to the parking area in time to participate. I wish they would have been clearer about what options were and were not available but I lost the race fee and ran 4 miles at home instead. I’ve not been feeling great after various medical situations. None of them turned out to be serious in spite of some big scares but I am drained from diagnostic procedures and would have been slow anyway. I actually gained weight from my two day liquid fast and have stubbornly refused to post it. I am waiting for it to go back down. In other news, we went to a pet adoption charity event with one of our dogs last night and came home with two dogs. We are not sure if we are fostering or adopting the new pup. I figure once we go from six to seven pets we have officially turned our home into a rescue. The puppy is so sweet though and not triggering any drama with our other pets.

I have a 5k race Saturday. With various medical stuff that’s been happening I hope I will have enough energy for a decent pace. Unfortunately no one I know will be joining me, but the event is one I ran with my dad as a kid, so it is special. 🏃🏼♀️
