I measured myself last night. That was a disappointing exercise because I referred to some measurements I'd taken about a year ago and the old measurements were lower, even though my weight is now lower. Of course my bfp was lower then, too. If anyone is reading this and knows of any tricks to lower one's bfp besides general eating well, cardio, and strength training (which I'm already doing), please let me know. I already know not to overdo it on the calorie reduction-- that's how my bfp went up from last time in the first place. How now do I make it go down??

measurements:
chest 45
waist 41 3/4
hips 44
thigh 28 1/2
bicep 13 1/4
neck 15

thoughts for me to remember from another member:
Keep a good long-term outlook. Check out the weight charts of people who are 25%+ advancing towards their goal weight. You will probably not see any that have weight charts that just consistently went down with 1-2 pound losses every single week. The key to weight loss is the same as with golfing. The person who wins a golf tournament is the one who makes the fewest bad shots. Even Tiger Woods has NEVER EVER played a flawless round of golf! And if you think that the only way you will reach your goal weight is by having a flawless diet, you are just setting yourself up to fail. The way to reach your goal weight is to accept the messups when they happen (because they will!) and realize that your weight loss will be determined by the next thing you choose to eat (since you can't and shouldn't! un-eat what you have already eaten) and not by the brownie you had to have after lunch! Good luck!

Reduce sugar sources in your diet to reduce body fat. Focus more on a variety of vegetables, cut down on fruit sugar too. I cut down 17% of my body fat in 3 months by cutting sugar and non-vegetable carbs. Read up on stevia instead of agave nectar. It is an herbal sweetener. Here is a website you might like www.bodyecology.com

Thanks, Sara. I would love to cut my bodyfat percentage down by 17% in three months! Believe it or not, I eat less carbs than I used to (I used to be vegan) but am only limiting them to the extent that is needed for me to feel good. Perhaps you are right that limiting them further could bring other benefits. I've been wondering about that. I can't stand stevia, but I notice that this website you recommend to me has a new sweetener offered that might be good. ("lakanto") Thanks for the recommendations!

Oh, I buy the non-bitter stevia. It comes in liquid form. It's a lot tastier.
